Ripstik Caster board is Great ,but know yourself before you buy one

Posted in ripstik caster board by makelargps on December 13, 2009

I am 13, i am 5 6 and 130 pounds. i have always had good balance and, extra money. i was looking at this on amazon and the first time i saw it i was like “what?” and then i went over to my friends house and he had one and was like sweet. i was looking a waveboards but he had a ripstick caster board, which i like a lot better.

he has a sort of steep driveway, but not really, so i just stepped on and let the speed keep me balanced. so i guess i am different because he thought i had definatley ridden on one before. i hadnt. then i started ging around his driveway when he told me how to move, so it was a lot of fun. i picked it up you could say in 5 minutes, and then i went out and bought one and mastered it in the first 2 days. now i just do tricks as it gets boring just riding around. i can go up massive hills, but not back down them. i tried that once, picked up a ton more spped than i thought, i jumped off and somersaulted into the pavement and into a telephone pole. there is absolutely no way to stop, you have to carve to slow down!

for me it is a great way to get around, and since not a lot of people have them everyone thinks its really cool when i show them. not really for kids, but my brother is 10 and he learned on mine in about a week. he then went on to buy his own and has mastered it as well. i havnt had any wheel problems like people say they do, and mine are perfectly in tact after having it for 3 months of HEAVY HEAVY riding. mine is all squeaky and stuff, and is very loud down hills, but thats because i trash mine from messing up tricks. its not too bad, but is definatly different than my brother’s whose is really silent. he doesnt like to do tricks or anything so i guess that explains why.

Ripstik Skate Board are very heavy duty, worth the money absolutely. great toy, makes you want to go outside. know your limits and know if you would actually use one of these. id say get one, these things are sick.

Lego Castle Customer Reviews :

Awesomeness!!!, August 21, 2009

This is a really fun Lego Castle set. Lego is top notch toys for replay value, but this one is staying assembled because the play value is already so high!

You won’t be able to get enough of this thing. I am a collecter I’m 29 years old, I have played with this several times. It is very ingenius. First it looks awesome, great detail from the wheels to the battering ram. Second the battering ram is cool! It is rubber band loaded pull back and blammo crownie castle walls!! Third the string pulled platform with the sword wielding troll is super cool, you can seriously attack castles in this way! Fourth and my personal favorite, the tower which the trolls attack has a wall made to break a way and release the floor of the second story prison cell which sends the captave troll flying out the bottom of the tower through the break away door, straight back to his troll buddies!! Crownies and Dwarfs beware this is one bad troll beast!!!

Huffy Green Machine is The best boys’ outdoor toy we’ve bought so far

Posted in huffy machine by makelargps on December 6, 2009

This update of the old Big Wheel style “Huffy Green Machine” is made to handle the height, weight and wear and tear of big boys (and girls, up to the latter 30s have even been caught on it), yet the seat is easily adjusted so that the average 5-year-old can reach its pedals. The main cool feature of green machine is the dual lever steering. Just like with the original hollow model plastic version, pulling on the steering levers in opposite directions sends the machine into a wicked spin-out that kids just can’t get enough of. Yet under the usage of some pretty crazy 6, 9 and 12 year olds on a steep downhill driveway, the machine has almost always remained three wheels on the ground.

So first, I am amazed at the staying play value of this huffy machine toy. For two years now, it has been the first toy out of the garage every time the door opens. And second, I am amazed at its durability. The 9 year old who uses it reguarly is an Evel Kneivel who is notorious for breaking my children’s toys left and right, and so far, it has held up without a squeak.

This was a million times better value for our hundred spot, than the darn motorized motorcycle we bought a couple years prior for twice that amount which only lasted a year before the gears stripped. Definitely consider this for your 5-10 year old boy, even if he already has a two-wheeler. It’s a whole different kind of fun.
